because no matter how famous you are, you're still poor at heart

It doesn't matter how big the celebrity is, everybody loves being poor and we have always had a fascination with poverty - that's why even the really rich, pampered, and famous can still be poor. We've searched through lists of celebrities to find out who, despite having more money than sense, is still poor.

Top of the list is brand new Hollywood hunk, star of Tigerland and Harte's War, and Dublin boy, Colin Farrell. Like the Liam Gallagher, who made the 1997 list, he has pockets crammed with lovely lucre, but is still a complete knacker.

He explained to Pat Kenny on The Late Late Show: "Eh, ye know, I'm a bit of a lad, ye know, mister, so I was ou' on de knack wih Joelo [Schumacher] an' Anto [Hopkins], ackin the bollix, wha [snorts]. Den dey all said da' I was dead good, ye know, for bein' such a lad, mister."

With this charm, it's no wonder he wooed Hollywood, and they have fallen in love with the Irish star, in their droves the rich, famous, and really rich and famous are jumping on the knacker bandwagon. Armani and Gucci are out, three stripe and Kappa are in. Stallone, Cage, and De Niro now all drive Escort SR3i's with purple underlighting.

With celebrities leading the way, the new style is in - out are consumption and comfort, in are meths, cardboard and jeans found in a bin - even the really rich can be poor now, but it takes a celebrity like Colin Farrell to do it with style.
